This course will focus on essential examination procedures necessary to examine, diagnose, and initiate
treatment for patient’s experiencing common lumbar motion impairments within 30 minutes. Skills
covered within this course include a targeted history and physical examination. Treatments to address
common patient concerns and movement impairments including pain management strategies, manual
therapy, and therapeutic exercise.
1. Participants will be able to describe three strategies for performing a target patient history.
2. Participants will be able to describe three key indicators leading to the diagnosis of lumbar
radiculopathy, hypermobility, and hypomobility.
3. Participants will be able to perform three key examination procedures for identifying lumbar
radiculopathy, hypermobility and hypomobility.
4. Participants will be able to perform three key interventions for managing lumbar radiculopathy,
hypermobility and hypomobility.
