Insight Seminars is committed to providing the best continuing education. We offer continuing education by Physical Therapy professionals with both clinical patient care experience and teaching experience at the University level.

Insight Seminars Instructors have over 100 years of combined experience in manual hands on physical therapy.

John Krauss PT, PhD, OCS, FAAOMPT Certified: Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, American Physical Therapy Association Fellow: American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Therapy PhD: Physical Therapy, Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, FL About John: “I am fascinated by the study of human movement. I believe that as practitioners we have a responsibility to provide a therapeutic experience for our patient’s that will help them elevate their movement performance. Through the careful analysis of human movement paired with an understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology, biomechanics, and psychology we can prepare ourselves to manage all patient’s that seek our care. I believe that experiential education is the key to matching up these skills and knowledge for optimal patient outcomes.” Dr. Krauss is a Professor and Director of the Physical Therapy Program and Coordinator of the Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy Graduate Certification at Oakland University in the School of Health Sciences. Dr. Krauss has authored/coauthored numerous books, book chapters and peer-reviewed articles on manual treatment for a variety of orthopedic conditions.

 

Dhonna Ponners

Dhana M Ponners, PT, DPT, OMPT is a clinical instructor, guest lecturer and lab assistant at Oakland University where she works closely with Dr. Krauss. Dr. Ponners received her MPT in 1993, completed her OMPT certificate in 1997 and earned her DPT in 2013 from Oakland University. As a full‐time clinician and supervisor at OMPT Specialists in Troy, Dr. Ponners clinically specializes in the use of manual therapy and therapeutic exercise when treating an orthopedic and athletic population, emphasizing return‐to‐sport and function. Dr. Ponners has over 23 years of teaching experience in the university, national, hospital, and clinical settings. She was the Physical Therapy consultant for the radio show Inside Sports Medicine for 18 months on the TICKET in Detroit.

 

Tina FitzGerald PT, PRPC, CSCS has 30 years of experience, with the majority of her career specializing in the treatment of pelvic floor, abdominal, and SI dysfunction and rehabilitation. Tina is currently employed by the University of Michigan and is the team lead treating and educating athletes, transgender population, and orthopedic patients concerning their pelvic floor support.

 

Michelle Pouliot PT, DPT, WCS, PRPC graduated from Wayne State university in 2007 and has worked as an orthopedic therapists and specialized in Adult Pediatric Pelvic Health for the past 8 years.  Michelle is currently employed by the University of Michigan and works with the pelvic floor team to treat men, women, children, and the transgender population.
